Great job everyone!
Congratulations to KWE student Jennifer Price with Timely Fashion for their 10th place finish in the Training Horse-B division this past weekend at the Morven Park Fall CIC & Horse Trials. As we all know the weather wasn’t ideal but this pair stuck it out and it paid off! Great job!
This past weekend was a successful Surefire Farm Fall Horse Trials in Purcellville, VA. Katie rode client Mike Hillman’s horse, Persistent Fella, in the Open Training-B division and finished in 12th. Student Angie Francart powered through some broken ribs & bruises to finish 13th with Blue Cliff in the Open Training-D division.
And the results are in! Congratulations to Katie & Mr. Indiscretion for finishing in the Top 40 this past weekend at the Plantation Field CIC 2*. This was a tough division with over 70 riders but Trip handled it with ease. Way to go!
This past weekend at the Seneca Valley Pony Club Fall Horse Trials in Poolesville, Katie competed Mike Hillman’s Persistant Fella and finished 5th in the Open Novice division on their dressage score! She also took Mr. Indiscretion (aka “Trip”) out to stretch his legs and have some fun. They finished 12th in the Open Intermediate 1 division with a dressage score of a 32.7!
Student Sabrina Morris also competed Lisa Reid’s BFF Cypher and finished 17th in the Novice Horse division. Way to go everyone!
Congratulations to Katie’s student Angie Francart with Blue Cliff for their 3rd place finish in the Training Rider division at the Loudoun Hunt Pony Club Fall Horse Trials this past weekend!
Katie also had a great time teaching everyone at Gordonsdale on Saturday. Despite the heat all of the clinic participants did very well!
This past weekend Katie focused on her dressage and took training horse, Imgoingtosmokeyou aka “Smoke,” and Mr. Indiscretion to the FADS Dressage Show at Blue Horse Farm. This was Smoke’s very first show and he was great scoring a 61% in Training 1 and a 63% in Eventing test B. Although a bit green in the ring (which is to be expected) he was game-on and mentally great!
Mr. Indiscretion, aka “Trip,” went to practice the Intermediate-B level eventing test and did well with a 62.7% but still has some room to improve.
