What a difference hind shoes make!

What a difference hind shoes make! While, dressage was unfortunately tense because her friend Sansa (Allyson Thomas’s Queen of the North) was back in the barn, overall Grateful had a very successful weekend. Her stadium round was great and she has her boldness back on cross-country. Morgan Rowsell created a challenging but confidence-building track, and ‘G’ didn’t hesitate at a thing. We gathered an unfortunate 20 when she jumped long at the up bank and her hind foot slipped off the edge when she landed, so I opted for the safe route and circled before presenting to the skinny. I’m disappointed in the score but so glad to have my power pony back!

Looking forward to the next challenge at Fair Hill, where Grateful’s boldness will undoubtedly shine. With the support of the hind shoes and the determination of our partnership, we’re ready to take on whatever the competition throws our way. Grateful truly is my power pony, and I can’t wait to see what she’ll achieve next!
