Gordonsdale Clinic & Loudoun Results

Congratulations to Katie’s student Angie Francart with Blue Cliff for their 3rd place finish in the Training Rider division at the Loudoun Hunt Pony Club Fall Horse Trials this past weekend!

Katie also had a great time teaching everyone at Gordonsdale on Saturday. Despite the heat all of the clinic participants did very well!

FADS Dressage at Blue Horse Farm results

This past weekend Katie focused on her dressage and took training horse, Imgoingtosmokeyou aka “Smoke,” and Mr. Indiscretion to the FADS Dressage Show at Blue Horse Farm. This was Smoke’s very first show and he was great scoring a 61% in Training 1 and a 63% in Eventing test B. Although a bit green in the ring (which is to be expected) he was game-on and mentally great!
Mr. Indiscretion, aka “Trip,” went to practice the Intermediate-B level eventing test and did well with a 62.7% but still has some room to improve.

Seneca Valley Pony Club Horse Trials Results

Congrats to Sabrina Morris and Lisa Reid’s Black Fox Farm Sporthorses’ Cypher for finishing 8th in the Novice Horse division at Seneca Valley Pony Club Horse Trials this past weekend!
New student Angie Francart of Sleeping Fox Farm, LLC and her horse Blue Cliff were having a great go at their first recognized Training, but unfortunately they missed a fence on cross country. We’ve all done it, so on to the next one!

Unfortunately Mr. Indiscretion (“Trip”) didn’t like slipping in the grass, so Katie decided to play it safe and save him for another day. She is going to have the vets check him over before planning their next show.

MDHT Spring Starter #3 Results

Congratulations to some of Katie’s students for great finishes at The Maryland Horse Trials Spring Starter #3!

-Jennifer Dolan with Reginald: 7th in Training-B
-Tara McShane with Nature’s Melody: 6th in Beginner Novice-D

Also, Goldie Roth with Shauna who had were technically eliminated in dressage for forgetting to take off bell boots (OOPS!), but ended up going around double-clear in stadium and cross-country anyways in the Junior Novice-B division.
